Cà phê Roastersâ brand refresh done by Smith and Diction was designed with the brandâs Vietnamese roots in mind. The packaging honors the heritage and passion of the Asian-American women-led coffee roaster, displayed through the bold tones of red and orange, and abstract lines on the side of the packaging reflect the terrace field-covered landscape of Vietnam. Additionally, the holographic rainbow foil accents are eye-catching and playful, made mythical when paired with the illustrations of dragons found throughout the brand.
Cà phê Roasters is a woman-led Vietnamese coffee roaster in Philadelphia, PA with more guts than anyone I’ve ever met so we wanted to make them some packaging that reflected their passion and brilliance. We set out to create a deceptively simple system that begs people to pick up a bag. From the holographic rainbow gold foil shimmering on the shelf, to the bright hyper abstracted variety stickers, to the squeeze and sniff flower on the valve, to the playful dragon giving you tips on how to open the bag, we wanted this thing to really feel special and fun in your hand.
