Cleaning products will help keep your home spic and span, but once you're done with them, the packaging often ends up dirtying the environment.
Neat is a personal care and household cleaning brand on a mission to reduce plastic waste but is doing so in a way that's both approachable and aesthetically pleasing. Developed by Ryan McSorley and Josie Harfield, the founders used their experiences in business strategy and product design to solve the problem of single-use plastic and water waste in homecare products.
Neat's refillable system eliminates single-use plastic by implementing reusable bottles made from lightweight aluminum that are not only designed to last a lifetime but also match your stylish home aesthetics.
Additionally, the concentrated refills for Neat get made using biodegradable, plant-based ingredients that remove excess water and come packaged in materials that are easily recycled. The process is streamlined—consumers only need to add tap water for a clean space, mind, and environment.
Beyond the sustainable measures taken within the product's packaging design, the aesthetics are just as well thought through. Designed by the co-founder of the brand, McSorley additionally created the packaging. Implementing a crisp and clean design style plays nicely into the pure products and brand ethos. Because the product is formulated with coconut and aloe vera extract to nurture skin softness, using peaceful hues throughout the product line makes perfect sense. The lowercase type treatment and smooth sans-serif typeface also play into the brand's purification promises.
Neat's idea is simple—clean the earth and clean your home. Through sustainable materials and fresh packaging, consumers won't have difficulty understanding why the brand’s mission is so meaningful.
