In addition to being delicious and refreshing, the sparkling wine-based mimosa cocktail is an excellent way to day drink and a staple of raucous brunches. It’s also a classic celebratory drink, often served before takeoff in first-class and upon arrival at weddings.

But like any cocktail, mimosas require a space to mix the wine and citrus juice and a way to keep both ingredients chilled until serving. Darling Mimosa, however, is in RTD, 12oz form, and features sparkling wine from Ontario, Canada, and either grapefruit or orange juice (the real stuff, nothing phony). The conventional can format means Darling’s cocktails fit in coolers and other spaces intended for sodas and beers, making it easier to make any occasion a mimosa-worthy one.

Co-founders and Creative Directors Kim Tarlo and Anna Cumyn led the branding and packaging design, intending to create a visually celebratory brand thanks to bright colors and fun visual touches. Darling Mimosa’s can labels express sunny exuberance, using bright, citrus-inspired color palettes and typography reminiscent of hand-painted signs by the beach. A whole orange or sliced grapefruit is featured on the front of the cans, acting as a fun garnish to the packaging design and a way to distinguish the mimosa flavors.
