Carbone Works With Geletka+ To Develop A Pasta Sauce On Tap, Making Saucy Refill Dreams Come True

You've heard of beer on tap, but Geletka+, a Chicago-based creative agency, worked with Carbone to launch the world's first pasta sauce on tap. Carbone, an Italian restaurant operated by Major Food Group, has locations in Manhattan and is known for being the city's celebrity hot spot with impossible to get reservations.
Yet, if you can't get a reservation to the city's hottest Italian eatery, grab your jars and get ready to refill because the on-tap experience allows for all the same flavors, just at home. Created for the UNFANCY cocktail party in New York after the beloved Fancy Food Show, the inventive tap impacts the packaging and restaurant industries. While you couldn’t bring your own jar for refill purposes, just imagine how magical the world would be if you could bring your own mason jar to your local grocery store and refill it.
"For us at Geletka+, we're in this business to make great things with our clients. We live for design innovation, problem-solving, and, of course, ideas that make a statement," said Christina Downey, EVP Marketing, Carbone Fine Food, "This project pulled from all our strengths, business strategy, creative thinking, engineering, and of course bringing a real product to market."
While it's not new for restaurants to branch out to create consumer packaged goods, it is rare for these items to become interactive experiences in spaces outside the restaurant's four walls. On-tap pasta sauce is inventive, unique enough to make an impact, and more effortless to use than finding a Carbone reservation in your calendar.
