KFC and Jack Harlow Team Up To Create A First-Class Meal

Published

If you’ve opened TikTok once within the past few weeks, you’ve undoubtedly come across Jack Harlow‘s “First Class” rendition. Viral doesn’t even begin to express the lengths that the song has gone, so it makes sense that brands would want to partner with the rapper-turned-TikTok sensation.

Because Harlow is from Louisville, Kentucky, a partnership with Kentucky Fried Chicken feels inevitably natural. So the brand worked with Harlow to develop the Jack Harlow Meal that features a first-class feast consisting of the artist’s favorites: KFC Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Mac & Cheese, Secret Recipe Fries, a side of ranch, and lemonade, all in special Harlow-themed packaging.

The limited-edition packaging showcases an illustration of Harlow’s face front and center, with “Jack Harlow x KFC” right below. Additionally, the packaging is on-brand for both entities, making the collaboration feel utterly natural.

The celebrity and fast food collaborations are a trend we forcasted in our 2022 Trend Report, and, as it turns out, is strongly continuing even now that we’re halfway into the year. We’ve seen Saweetie and Mcdonald’s and Megan Thee Stallion with Popeyes, so this Jack Harlow and KFC collab falls right in line with the rise of the social media-driven and influenced partnerships.

To promote the meal deal, the team unleashed a 15-second spot featuring Harlow and his song “Nail Tech.” Agency Nimbus directed the creative for the ad spots while MullenLowecreated the innovative social content.
