Verdy and Budweiser Team Up For Limited-Edition Summer Packaging

by Rudy Sanchez on 05/27/2022 | 1 Minute Read

Japanese graphic artist Verdy is the founder of popular streetwear labels like Girls Don’t Cry and Wasted Youth, with the latter known for its referential parodies of signature brand elements from American beer brand Budweiser.

Now, the artist and The King of Beers have partnered for limited-edition packaging based on Verdy’s Wasted Youth design label.

The limited-edition Budweiser packaging includes key signature Wasted Youth motifs, such as the tulip in a crumpled Budweiser-like can and “WY” in the diamond, subbing for AB. The signature red and white color palette remains, but Verdy gives the traditional Bud lo-fi street chic to the classic can. “Wasted Youth” in a clashing typeface is placed above “Budweiser," and outer packaging features a collection of slightly crushed cans with a “Verdy Limited Edition” call out. Labels on the amber glass bottle are similar but lack graphics such as the tulip, likely due to space.

Verdy and Budweiser collaboration cans have started rolling out, and bottles will follow in July in Japan.
