Sweet Meets Cute With Salty For This Oreo and Ritz Collab Cookie

When it comes to snacking, Mondelez has a deep roster of global and local brands like Cadbury, Tobolorone, Wheat Thins, Triscuits, and Chips Ahoy. With so many options on the table, the international CPG firm announced a bold flavor mashup that combines salty, sweet, peanut butter, chocolate, and creme dubbed Ritz X Oreo.
Both brands are under the Nabisco umbrella, a US subsidiary of Mondelez, and the new snack collaboration is one-half peanut butter on a Ritz cracker. The other half is a traditional Oreo chocolate cookie and creme half. Similarly, the packaging for the limited-edition snack is a partnership of equals; both brands get equal space. Boxes sport Ritz branding, including a red cracker on one side and a blue Oreo cookie on the other, set against a pale blue background. An image of the smashup cookie sandwich is in the middle, surrounded by the phrase “Your Favorites In One.”
“Over the past few years, Ritz has been exploring innovative partnerships and experiences to spark excitement around our iconic buttery cracker,” said Ritz senior brand manager Alexis Yap in a press release. “We couldn’t resist the opportunity to collaborate with our friends at OREO on a snack that’s part salty cracker, part chocolate cookie, and entirely delicious. This is a collab our fans won’t want to miss!”
In the same press release, Oreo senior brand manager Sydney Kranzmann added, “At Oreo, we are constantly exploring playful ways to excite our fans, from innovative limited-edition flavors to unexpected collaborations. This Ritz X Oreo product marks our first product collaboration with our friends at Ritz. We can’t wait to hear what Oreo superfans think about this new take on the classic combination of chocolate and peanut butter!”
Ritz X Oreo will only be available at Oreo.com/Ritz starting at noon today, May 25th, 2022. The boxes are free but require $3.95 shipping while supplies last.
