Pringles And 'Hot Ones' Is Ready To Make Your Summer Snacking Spicier

Most interviews with celebrities on talk shows follow a pretty standard template. But, in 2015, the award-winning YouTube talk show series Hot Ones turned up the heat and made typically banal interviews promoting a project spicier with the addition of mouth-burning wings. Host Sean Evans conducts the typical celeb interview as guests eat progressively spicier wings, with some completing the flight of hot wings and some calling it quits before reaching the end.

Hot Ones has parlayed that success into a game show, a truth-or-dare-style show, merch, and, obviously, a line of branded hot sauces. Now, Hot Ones is partnering with Pringles to bring the heat to potato chips, launching a limited-edition line of snacks featuring four hot sauce flavors from the show.

Pringles Scorchin' Hot Ones are available in three flavors, The Classic Hot Sauce, Los Calientes Rojo, and Los Calientes Verde. Packaging for each features Mr. P with eyes closed, brow furrowed, and puffs of steam coming out of where his ears would be if he had them. The mascot’s head is also on fire, with flames in colors corresponding to the flavor, such as yellow for The Classic and red and green for Rojo and Verde, respectively. The center of the Pringles tube features the Hot Ones' familiar neon-sign-like logo underneath a picture of the hot sauce bottle next to a potato chip.

“Our partnership with Hot Ones is a match made in spicy heaven, so we're thrilled to collaborate with the show known to test your limits with hot questions and even hotter wing sauce,” said Mauricio Jenkins, senior director of marketing for Pringles, via press release. “We challenged ourselves to perfectly match the fiery burn of Hot Ones wing sauce to create our spiciest flavors yet. The debut of the Pringles Scorchin' Hot Ones lineup will have fans sweating just like their favorite celeb guests on the show.”

Los Calientes Verde will be available nationwide starting in June, Los Calientes Rojo will hit store shelves at Walmart that same month, and The Classic Hot Sauce rolls out to Circle K stores in July.
