Founded in 1870, Granado completes 152 years with a rich and recognized history. From a pharmacy ahead of its time to an iconic Brazilian industry with international presence, the brand has not lost its apothecary essence that values quality, innovation and appreciation of nature and brazilianness.

In the year of its 150th anniversary the Vintage Perfumery line was born. Sophisticated and timeless, they take us on a journey through the centenary history of Granado, a trajectory that is intertwined with the history of Rio de Janeiro.

From “Ilha da Saúde” – a farm where the founders grew herbs and flowers for the handling of medicines – to the ambitious factory in Lapa, each perfume transports us to a chapter of this trajectory, awakening memories and honoring the brand's history through perfumery.

Époque Tropical is the perfect union of the irreverent Brazilian flora with classic french perfumery. A creation that takes us on a walk-through Rio’s gardens in the 19th century. The art nouveau style of the buildings integrates the green and tropical nature. Classic european flowers grow among native species and fruits. It's a bold fragrance that exhales florality and freshness.

This contrast outlines Granado's packaging, advertisement and products from its beginnings. Organic lines and refined illustrations were displayed on labels, inspired by the european influence in the country, while authentic formulas brought the exuberance of local plant extracts.

Époque Tropical’s packaging design is inspired by the brand's archive and pictures the luxurious products of the 19th century in a contemporary ambiance.

It’s structure contains a very protective cardboard box, coated with special laminated paper that preservers print, with Granado's characteristic green color and golden foil monogram. A carton sleeve displays the luxurious layout, where a special pattern in golden foil was created to represent the different olfactory notes in perfumery, in a art nouveau style. The golden foil pattern lightens the pink color and highlights the product at the point of sale.

As the consumer opens the perfume packaging, he finds inside a brochure in special carton with a conceptual text that explains the story and inspiration of the perfume. The bottle, made exclusively for the project, portraits the imponentiality, as the sharp angles, the translucence of glass and the heavy bottom takes the consumer directly to the luxury products of the 19th century. The Granado logo engraved on the back provides an extra charm to the product and connects with the custom spray with granado’s monogram which can be seen through the transparent lid.
