Focusing On Every Design Detail With TRUT Gin’s Captivating Bottle

Published

No detail was excluded when designing the packaging for Trut Gin. The result is a crisp and clean design that is visually and tactfully alluring. Inspired by the bees, the honey-soaked label and bottle represent the name behind the brand and reflect the magically ephemeral moments of a hot summer’s day. Simple yet stunning, Trut’s bottle is a wonderfully immersive experience.

TRUT Gin is and ode to summer – it is handcrafted in the island of Korčula (Croatia) by OPG Komparak. Originally a producer of premium honey, Komparak distilled a very local gin from a variety of juniper combined with island botanicals foraged around the estate and a hint of raw honey.

TRUT is also a local word for a Drone bee, a peculiar insect with a sole mission of mating with the Queen. Often used as a synonym for both laziness and hedonism, it is a perfect name for a gin meant to be enjoyed during the longest of summer days.

In designing TRUT packaging we wanted to capture the fleeting moments of high summer, when every encounter can become an adventure. Each bottle is meticulously dipped in natural beeswax, serving both as a seal and creating a rich visual and tactile experience.
