The Confectionery Factory “Kopernik” is the oldest producer of gingerbread and wafers in Poland as well as Europe. It is also the only company to continue the tradition of baking Gingerbread Cakes, which has been known in the city of Toruń for a dozen centuries.
Fryderyk Chopin visited Toruń in 1825. That was when he fell in love with the legendary Torun Gingerbread that completely and utterly stole his heart and captured his pallette.
