New Cookie Promises the Fizz and Flavor Of Icee Drinks

Icee has been a favorite frozen beverage since 1967 in convenience stores, movie theaters, and pretty much everywhere. Now J&J Snack Foods, the parent company of Icee, wants to bring the sweet, fruity, and fizzy goodness of its signature beverage to fans in creme-filled cookie sandwich form.
Unlike their beverage counterparts, Icee sandwich cookies are not frozen but feature the same bright hues and classic cherry and blue raspberry flavors. The packaging also uses the eye-popping red and blue and features a lidded Icee cup complete with a straw peeking up from the bottom of the front. The playful Icee polar bear logo also appears, just so the kids know what they're getting into.
“We are continually innovating at Icee and are beyond excited to bring fans their beloved frozen beverage flavors in a new, fun cookie format,” said Natalie Peterson, vice president of marketing, The Icee Company. “We have no doubt that these new creme-filled cookies will be a hit among fans. It's a completely different experience—perfect for snacking on the go—with our beloved cherry and blue raspberry flavors that evoke nostalgia and make you feel like a kid again!”
