Chobani Announces New Lactose-Free Milk and Half & Half

by Rudy Sanchez on 02/07/2022 | 2 Minute Read

Chobani launched as a brand in 2007, born of founder Hamdi Ulukaya’s disappointment with the yogurt offerings in his new country. Since then, Chobani has expanded much deeper into the dairy aisle, including oat milk, and has announced two additions to its product range with half & half and lactose-free milk.

The ultra-filtered milk contains 20g of protein and 50% less sugar than traditional offerings, available in whole, 2%, non-fat, and chocolate. Chobani’s half & half gets made with milk and cream with no added sugars or oils and available lactose-free.

Both the Chobani lactose-free and half & half new offerings come packaged in recyclable, paper-based cartons. All six new containers feature Chobani’s delightful branding, and the system is logical and color-based, red for whole milk, shades of blue for reduced and non-fat, and brown for chocolate milk. Delightful artwork covers the lactose-free carton, using hearts, flowers, cows, and milk cans to create playful and pleasant packaging that Chobani has been known for lately. The Chobani half & half cartons feature a more intricate illustration set against a farm with a creamy cup of coffee.

“With our lactose-free, reduced sugar, and protein-packed Chobani Ultra-Filtered Milk, we're making dairy accessible to more people and giving consumers a great option to trade up to a more advanced, functional, and delicious product,” said Peter McGuinness, Chobani president and COO, in a press release.

Find Chobani’s new lactose-free and half & half in the milk section, which is probably in the back of the store.
