Afishionado Smoked Fish Is Designed To Appeal To Environmentally-Conscious Consumers

Based on Canada's Atlantic coast, Afishionado is dedicated to bringing low-impact fishing traditions back to the plates of consumers. They source locally as much as possible and follow Ocean Wise, a classification that ensures responsibility of a fishery’s abundance and catch method.
When Covid hit, they were forced to pivot from their farm market and CSA boxes to an on-line subscription model. As part of their new business model, they began marketing their own line of sustainably sourced, artisanally smoked salmon. The packaging solution needed to show off the product, be flexible enough to work across a variety of vac-packed sizes and shapes, and still be affordable and as sustainable as possible. With bright pops of colour and a distinctive brand presence, the new packaging was designed to appeal to environmentally-conscious consumers who craved premium smoked salmon – and show off the product in all it's delicious double hot-smoked glory!
Launched in 2021, Afishionado’s Smoked Fish has been an instant hit, frequently selling out and expanding rapidly to keep pace with growing demand in markets across Canada.
