Thanks To Supply Chain Chaos, We Have A Little Bit Of Christmas Cannabis In February From Kiva

by Rudy Sanchez on 02/02/2022 | 1 Minute Read

By now, most everyone has since felt or at least has heard of the pandemic-induced supply chain problems.

Cargo ships continue to queue up offshore for weeks while they wait to get unloaded. Prices for some items, such as pork, have sharply risen as COVID-related closures, and the staffing challenges have forced production facilities to close.

Cannabis confectionary brand Kiva faced its own supply chain problem when its holiday tins were stuck in the morass of backed-up Southern Californian seaports. Even though the flavor is a Christmas punch, Kiva decided to go ahead with the release, despite the holidays coming and going. After all, if it tastes good, why not?

Camino’s Post-Holiday Punch: Supply Chain Chaos’ packaging tells the supply chain story with a beautiful label showing container-laden ships off the coast, with a harbor and gantry cranes in the background. The packaging somehow depicts the supply chain consternations in a rare, serene way, a sharp contrast to the doom and finger-pointing that usually accompanies discussion of the issue. The economy may be crumbling, but at least we have tasty edibles in excellent packaging.

Kiva’s Post-Holiday Punch is available now, direct or in select outlets starting in early February.
