Lush Does It Again With Its Sustainable Valentine's Day Collection

by Chloe Gordon on 02/02/2022 | 2 Minute Read

You either love or hate Valentine's Day; there's no such thing as being ambivalent when it comes to the 14th day of February.

And while I do love the day of love, I happen to hate the mass-distributed, cheesy, money-sucking aspects of the special day. Lush, however, has cracked the Valentine's day marketing code and is continuing its tradition of releasing a collection specifically designed for the holiday that’s eco-friendly to boot.

The brand is known for its sustainable products, such as solid shampoo and bath bombs that don't require excess plastic packaging. This year, the brand has dropped eight products for Valentine's Day, including the beat-you-over-the-head-innuendo-laden beloved eggplant and peach-shaped bath bombs.

The individual products also include a new bold bubble bar called Kim the Carrot, a jiggly strawberry-scented Heart Shower Jelly, and a cherry-scented lip mask and scrub appropriately in the shape of puckered lips.

Additionally, this year Lush has released gift sets that are perfectly on theme as well. The brand released The Self Love Club set (made up of colorful bath bombs and 100% recycled badges), the Get That Fruity Feeling set (which includes four fruit-themed products as well as fruit stickers), and, of course, the Lots of Love set (containing a massive variety of bath-time products wrapped and ready to go with sustainably sourced recycled and recyclable materials).

The ethical gifts are all made sustainable; for example, the Lots of Love gift set is made from paper that's 100% upcycled. The ribbon is 100% recycled polyester made from recycled drinks bottles. Additionally, the gift is packed with Eco Pops, expanded starch biodegradable product protectors.

So while you might be on the fence about whether or not you like Valentine's Day, there's no denying that even the most significant love fest haters will adore Lush's sustainable products all year round.
