Covey Skincare's Highly Soothing Aesthetic Is An Instant Stress Reliever

Transatlantika designed the soft, delicate packaging system for Covey skincare. The retail packaging highlights the brand's high-quality products through an elegant, cultivated aesthetic. The soft hues, loose kerning, and cloud imagery lead to an admiringly calming brand association through packaging alone.
Covey skincare hired Transatlantika Brand Design to create retail packaging for their existing products. Covey focuses on high quality, dermatologist-formulated skincare routines that are easy to use. Founders Emily DiDonato (http://emilydidonato.com) and Christina Garcia wanted to minimize the steps of the skincare routine.
Transatlantika created minimalist packaging designs that refer to the word “covey”, a small flock of birds that protect and care for each other. The elegant boxes feature subtle clouds, which metaphorically give the birds a lot of space to fly. The clouds and pastel colors express a softness and the soothing nature of a daily skincare routine. A routine box that holds all three products shows a gradient made up by all three product colors.
The skincare routine steps are indicated by numbers on the packaging to highlight the simplicity aspect. The designs are printed on high quality FSC certified Neenah paper with debossing in the logotype and numbers. The products are available at Space NK locations at Bloomingdale’s department stores in the USA. Product Photography: Julian Croman (https://juliancroman.com)
