The effects of MSG and the wrongly assumed connotations it carries is a widespread food and culture-related act of xenophobia. OMSOM recently released a new, limited-edition set dubbed the “IYKYK Shaker Set, ” including three wooden shakers. The products inside contain salt, pepper, and, of course, MSG. This limited-edition release aims to shut down MSG slander and set the record straight: highlighting that MSG deserves a spot in everyone’s kitchen directly next to salt and pepper. 

And while the messaging alone is strong enough to inspire anyone to understand the underlying xenophobia, the packaging is just as impassioned. OMSOM is known for its vibrant colors, and this set continues its legacy. The linear pattern and sticker shapes highlight the spice inside, and the tonal color pairings are eye-catching and dynamic.
