Archie Rose Bone Dry Gin Showcases The Balance Of Simplicity And Complexity

by Chloe Gordon on 01/05/2022 | 2 Minute Read

At first glance, Archie Rose's Bone Dry Gin packaging, designed by Squad Ink, feels quite minimalistic. After taking it in, however, the bottle features gorgeously intricate details that create a sense of intricacy—the blue elements paired with the gorgeously embossed components complete the design. The balance between plainness and elaborateness is not easy, but this gin bottle has uncovered the harmony.

Complexity in Simplicity. Using world-leading cold distillation technology, Archie Rose Distilling Co. unravels the many layers of flavour from a single ingredient; the glorious juniper in this Bone Dry Gin. A pure yet complex liquid, this is arguably ‘the truest expression of gin character’ ever produced.

Aptly named ‘Bone Dry’ – this is the title given to a gin profile that is juniper forward. At first glance and from afar, ‘BONE DRY’ is seen in its clean, pure form. It embodies its name with a primarily crisp, clean white label, with a hit of deep juniper blue on the base, helping with on-shelf presence. Yet up close, the complexity in detail reveals itself through a typographic treatment of the words ‘BONE DRY’.

Production experimentation led us to a blind deboss on Casa Blanca stock creating a transparent effect. As light hits the deboss area the intricate graphics are revealed.
