The phrase “needs no introduction” is often followed by an introduction, sometimes lengthy ones. But out of respect to Ms. Dolly Parton, I’m not doing that.

Parton’s list of accomplishments and ventures, which include singing, songwriting, acting, business, and philanthropy, will now have to make room for one more thing—baking. Dolly Parton has partnered with Conagra-owned Duncan Hines to create a new line of “Southern-Style” cake mixes and frostings inspired by her family recipes.

Dolly Parton’s new line includes two cake mixes, coconut and banana, as well as two frostings, buttercream and chocolate buttercream. The packaging is dominated by pink, of course, with typography on theme, and the star of the show is featured on the front wearing her signature big, blonde hair and a sparkly dress.

“I have always loved to cook and, growing up in the South, I especially love that authentic Mom and Pop kind of cooking,” Dolly Parton said in a press release. “I am excited to launch my line of cake mixes and frostings with Duncan Hines, bringing that sweet, Southern-style baking experience I enjoy to others.”

Ahead of the March rollout, Duncan-Hines is offering Dolly fans a chance to try out the new collection with a limited edition kit that includes each mix and frosting, spatula, tea towel, and recipe cards, starting January 26th and until supplies last, at shop.DuncanHines.com.

With any luck, Parton fans won't crash the site.
