Unless you've somehow escaped it, we're living in a world of acronyms. From "LOL" to "FOMO" to "WTF," you could essentially have a whole conversation just using just letters. A common acronym often used in our almost-everyday lexicon is "IPA," aka India Pale Ale.
It's a beer well-regarded among the face-beards for its higher-ABV and hoppy flavors. The bitter, fruity, and floral notes often make up the flavor profiles, and while they can be light and crisp, they can also be dark and heavy. IPAs have gained a lot of traction in the last two decades, most notably for the many variations on the style. And, let's be honest, even if you don't know anything about beer, if you order an IPA, you'll fool everyone you're with into thinking you do.
So, while I might not know what I'm talking about when it comes to flavored notes, hazy colors, or what a hoppy finish honestly tastes like, when it comes to fonts, colors, and illustrations on the packaging, I'm here to tell you they predict the future and offer an expansive canvas for packaging designers.
