Student Week: Serenity

To help the Purina brand move towards a packaging system with less plastic and more environmentally friendly options, Abigail Meza, a student at ArtCenter College of Design, implemented a conceptual collaboration with Loop. Loop is a sustainable product delivery service that delivers items in a 100% plastic-free manner.

This new eco-friendly line is titled Serenity which, by definition, means "the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled." The materials used in this project consist of aluminum, FSC Paper, and glass to maximize use without worrying about the quality of the packaging. The result are containers that feel robust in quality and have a playful personality through the implementation of the cat illustration. Creating an entirely new line for a well-established brand is not simple, although Abigail has made it look like it were.
