Student Week: Knibble Organic Food For Dogs

by Chloe Gordon on 08/26/2021 | 2 Minute Read

The conceptual brand Knibble is a friendly, dog-loving brand with a contemporary approach to the dog food market. Designed by San Diego City College student Luke Meyer, the vibrant color palette and playful typography differentiate this brand from other dog food brands. Each flavor of food is packaged within a different color bag accompanied by personalized nutritional information and feeding instructions on a label on the front of the pack. Knibble is both simplistic and playful, perfect for a dog food brand that needs to showcase its loyalty.

Knibble is a hypothetical brand that makes all-natural, air-dried dog food customized to each dog’s nutritional needs and delivered to their doorstep. The goal was to convey a friendly, dog-loving brand, in a way as unique as its modern approach to dog food. Instead of using earthy colors like many other health-focused brands, a vibrant, fresh palette and playful illustrative elements set Knibble apart from competitors while maintaining the sense of reliability that is necessary for the category.

The packaging was designed to be engaging and fresh while conveying necessary information. Each base flavor is in a different colored bag, with personalized nutritional information and feeding instructions are organized on a label adhered to the front.

Special thanks to Sean Bacon, Bradford Prairie, and Candice Lopez, graphic design professors at San Diego City College.
