Designed for her Packaging Two class at ArtCenter College of Design, Kalex Shen created the conceptual Paw Day product for Sprinkles Cupcakes that's eco-friendly through its plastic-free packaging and 100% playful in design. Staying true to Sprinkle's branding, the color featured on the packaging are vivid, bright, and downright merry. Similar illustrations and typography are used throughout the Paw Day packaging system, and, honestly, if you don't have a dog, this line of treats might just inspire you to adopt one. C'mon, treats for a dog party? Count me in!
Sprinkles makes real celebrations taste better with premium, baked-fresh daily cupcakes, cakes, chocolates, and cookies. Since 2005, Sprinkles has innovated their way to an ever growing, loyal fan base for their unexpected flavors, on-demand Cupcake ATMs, convenient online ordering and steadily expanding footprint of design forward bakeries coast to coast.
Sprinkles’ design style overall is minimal yet fun at the same time. Mostly targeting millen- nial with it’s effortless fun yet stylish branding design, prefect for an Instagram post. It’s also know for its innovative thinking for its on-de- mand Cupcake ATMs.
Sprinkles is also big on its company value, with an almost plastic-free packaging. Giving back to communities is also paramount at Sprinkles. Over the years it have part- nered many organizations and different communities. The zero plastic packaging food i chose was Oui, the French style yogurt.
I discovered this brand a few years ago, purely because of its packaging. Its glass jar with foil top but not over priced looked like luxury in a jar to me at the time. Due to it being in a glass jar, it stood out completely from its competitors, and the taste does speak for itself, which makes always coming back for more. It’s a Celebration! For your dog! Sprinkles is announcing their own Pawday box, for your furry friends. Come celebrate their Pawday by making cupcakes and treats, making it a day to remember.
There’s a vacancy in the market for pet’s meal/ food kit. From my interviews, many pet rideor die owners would do anything to make their pet feel special and this Pawday DIY kit is perfect for it.The strategy for packaging is to keep the bag simple and playful. Also rather focusing on the product itself, but provide an experience focused. It’s an experience with your loved ones to celebrate your furry friend.
