Student Week: Power Plant Energy Drink

Not only did Tom French, a designer and student at Norwich University of the Arts, create beautifully designed energy drink packaging, but he was sure to consider the environmental considerations to the packaging as well. Each drink’s flavors are packaged similarly. However, the illustrations and can’s colors are distinct to the tastes within.

For example, Mandarin Hibiscus is beautifully packaged in a light apricot color with illustrated hibiscus and mandarin florals. Choosing more muted colors was thoughtful, especially when competitors choose to go with more bold and neon shades. Differentiation is critical, and Tom French beautifully recognized that.

Power Plant is an organic botanical-infused energy drink on a mission to reduce emissions. The brand revolves around using direct air capture (a method of extracting harmful Co2 from the air then purifying and compressing it) to carbonate its beverages. The fantastic range of botanically infused energy drinks is reviving the consumer and the planet one can at a time.
