Not only are hibiscus plants gorgeous to look at, but they’re also chock full of health benefits. Including but not limited to helping lower blood pressure, helping lower blood fat levels, and helping to boost liver health, there’s a bevy of incentives to drinking hibiscus tea.

Inspired by streetwear aesthetics, Sy Gauze designed the packaging for Ivorian Spirit, an herbal hibiscus tea. Consciously choosing to use a simple red on a cream color background allows this label to maintain minimalistic features while also radiating a sense of eclectic style and street-style culture.

Bissap is a special herbal tea made from hibiscus popular in tropical countries. In Ivory Coast we have a special recipe called Bissap popular for its antioxidant and soothing properties.

The label’s aesthetic aimed at letting the drink’s strong colour dominates while still providing a sense of presence. The drink gets bubbly when shaken even though it is not fizzy.

Inspired by streetwear/street graphics style, the bottle displays an exaggerated repetition of the product name. Providing that eagerness for recognition in this crowded space. Ivorian Spirit represents the starting point where the unknown, the eclectic, the new gets introduced into the food and beverage industry.
