‘Hot Girl Sunset’ Collection Marks First Collab Between Revlon And Megan Thee Stallion

Published

Things have been anything but routine lately, and this summer is no exception.

It’s not quite a pre-pandemic summer, as plenty of events, festivals, or the typical trappings of the season are still absent. But the months of staying-at-home and lack of social outings have turned 2021 into a “hot vax summer” with folks motivated to party with reckless abandon, though we might have cut some of the festivities short with the return of some anti-COVID measures.

The “hot vax” spirit in the air feels similar to one in Megan Thee Stallion’s 2019 banger “Hot Girl Summer.” Whether it’s “hot girl” or “hot vax,” you can also see that party-ready and assertive spirit in Revlon’s latest collection, created with “Savage” brand ambassador Hot Girl Megan.

The Revlon x Megan Thee Stallion Hot Girl Sunset Collection includes one of two 10-color palettes in shades inspired by summer sunsets, lip gloss, lashes, and a soft pouch with “Hot Girl” in a gilded finish with a firey font also used on the lids. The palette’s outer box features an anime-style cowboy heroine wielding a flaming sword, a nod to Hot Girl Megan’s affinity for Japanese animation.

Given Megan Thee Stallion’s popularity, this Revlon collection was sure to be highly anticipated, which is why the cosmetics firm chose to partner with the online marketplace platform StockX to drop the limited 450 piece collection, which you already missed out on as of this writing.
