If you’ve ever taken a stroll down the protein bar aisle at the grocery store, then this fact won’t shock you, but the global protein bar market size was valued at 4.66 billion USD in 2019 and is predicted to almost double by 2027. However, the thing about these protein bars is that they all look the same: dark colors, tech-inspired fonts, and a lack of personality. So when we saw Gym’s packaging, we knew that their bars would impact the market. They’re bright, bubbly, and bring a touch of playfulness that the industry needed. Designed by Swear Words, Gym’s packaging just might give you the kick in the butt that you need to start your workout.

Not everyone has the inclination to go to the gym, but a lot of us want to snack better without chomping on celery. Enter Gym, a low calorie protein bar promising a delicious guilt-free snack. We saw an opportunity to be playful and represent health without being boring. Our design solution is a curvy and energetic brand and packaging that visually contradicts fitness stereotypes.
