Patrón x John Geiger Drop A Collab For National Tequila Day

Since 2016, tequila brand Patrón has released a Mexican Heritage Tin celebrating the culture and art of the spirit’s home country. For 2021, Patrón invited muralist Senkoe to highlight Mexican street art. This year’s iteration features the artist’s signature mythical, dream-like style depicting core elements of Patrón’s brand and tequila such as agave, bees, and the piñas to tell the Mexican myth of the creation of the universe in a new, fantastical way.
Recognizing the strong connection between street art and streetwear, Patrón has partnered up with designer John Geiger to drop a collection inspired by Senkoe’s Heritage Tin artwork. Vibrantly saturated colors come into play, complementing Patrón’s bee logo and the craft of making tequila. The sweatshirt, for example, depicts a jimador hard at work in the field, with “Art to my heritage” written along a bottom corner. Socks, shoes, and shorts round out the collection.
"Over the years, I have admired Senkoe's work and how passionate he is about where he is from, using his murals to reclaim and beautify public spaces," said John Geiger in a press release. "I wanted this collection to represent the dedication that goes into the craft, whether that be a bottle of Patrón tequila or a one-of-a-kind mural. There is so much dedication and character behind Mexican culture, and as a local artist, it is inspiring to see Senkoe convey it all through his work. With streetwear, it is important to bring together all aspects of cultural influences, and the Patrón x John Geiger collection reflects that by paying homage to the hardworking people that create Patrón tequila from start to finish."
Patrón’s 2021 Heritage Tin is available now, and the Patrón x John Geiger collab goes on sale on July 24th, National Tequila Day, at JohnGeigerCo.com.
