Chewing gum is something we’ve all been doing since we were kids. Whether to freshen our breath or pass the time, it’s always a safe haven. Yet, most gums aren’t so great for the environment; in fact, it can take anywhere from 5 t0 1,000 years to decompose. And if something is that bad for the Earth, why do we put it in our bodies?
Forest Gum is a natural chewing gum made from tree sap. Not only is it better for you and the planet, but design Jens Nilsson has ensured that its packaging is just as great. The evergreen primary color balanced with pastel hues makes you feel both fresh and invigorated, just as any great gum should. The chunky and imperfect type adds a bit of character that’s often lacking in natural brands, and we always love a bit of personality. Chew on this.
Forest Gum is a German natural chewing gum that is made from tree sap, and not plastic like pretty much every other gum is made of. During 2019 I worked on this identity and packaging together with Thomas and Maren from Forest Gum, and the first flavour is now available in selected stores in Germany.
