Don’t Be Addle-Headed, Drink High Desert Days

High Desert Days is the newest beer from Lone Star Brewing. The can is designed by artist Dana Tanamachi in collaboration with the design agency, Switch. The golden and amber tones on the can play perfectly into the name of the beer and the brewery. Not to mention, the typeface on the can is perfectly fitting in its minimalistic yet utterly western-inspired style. 


Lone Star Brewing is excited to announce its latest beer release, High Desert Days. The new beer is meant to celebrate and embody the spirit and taste of Texas’ Big Bend region. To help celebrate the launch of the new beer, Lone Star is also announcing an Instagram sweepstakes open to legal residents of the 50 states in the United States and the District of Columbia in which participants have a chance to win a getaway to Marfa, Texas. High Desert Days is available at retailers throughout Texas starting in June.

High Desert Days is a smooth, wheat-style beer with an ABV of 4.6% brewed in the Hill Country of Austin with the finest ingredients Texas has to offer. The beer is brewed with white wheat and Pilsen malt and then finished with hibiscus and agave nectar. High Desert Days has a unique-to-Texas flavor that provides a crisp and refreshing taste with sweet honey-like notes from the agave and tart, herbal, almost cranberry-like flavor from the hibiscus. High Desert Days is the latest offering in the Lone Star Culture Series, which also includes Rio Jade, a Mexican-style lager, and Das Bier Y’all, a German-style kölsch.

In celebration of the new High Desert Days beer, Lone Star is announcing an Instagram sweepstakes: High Desert Hunt. Participants in the sweepstakes will need to follow Lone Star Beer on Instagram to watch out for a special riddle that will be released on the brand’s feed. The winner of the sweepstakes will win a weekend getaway for two to Marfa, TX, including a two night stay at El Cosmico, $200 gift card for Convenience West Barbecue, and $200 Visa gift card for other travel expenses. The riddle will be released on or around June 10, 2021, at 12 p.m. CST on Lone Star’s Instagram feed (Link to official rules for full details).

The new beer will be available for purchase in a six-pack of 12 oz. cans and will retail for the suggested price of $7.99. To find a nearby retailer carrying High Desert Days, consumers can use Lone Star’s beer finder tool on its website.
