Kamil Barczentewicz's Wine Labels Tell The Story Of The Picturesque Landscapes They Originate From

When wine labels illustrate where the wine is produced, a new level of appreciation comes in. Kamil Barczentewicz's winery has labels that do just that and through geometrical shapes nonetheless. Designed by Motyw Studio, each wine label considers the landscape and how the wine is produced. This wine's packaging is thoughtful, simple, and brings in the extra element of storytelling often overlooked.
Packaging of the Kamil Barczentewicz winery located in Dobre, near Kazimierz Dolny. Wine labels are a key part of the project.
Kamil often says that "Wine is primarily made in the field - in the vineyard". The illustrations on the labels are inspired by the flat landscapes and folds of the picturesque hill in Dobre. We refer to the idea that wine is the fruit of terroir. The strong, contrasting colours bring to mind the vineyard environment, changing with the seasons. To show the climate of the habitat and the taste of wine, we need a simple but penetrating means of expression. The graphic forms illustrate small landscapes. Each illustration also refers to the way the wine is produced. For example, the Pinot Blanc Barrique label refers to the ageing process and yeast sediment, and the Pinot Noir to the time lapse motif, thus illustrating the maceration process.
The identity comprises the design of the logo, signage, colour scheme, font selection, design of additional glyphs, illustrations, print materials, packaging, car branding, website and social media communication.
