It's always interesting to hear the history behind Tequila brands as they always bring an exciting story to life. Don Roberto Extra Añejo's story doesn't disappoint. Cocoa Brands has kept the rich history alive through the gold foil saddlery illustrations and the rich, almost treasure trove-inspired typography. This tequila is packaged so sleekly you might never want to remove it from your collection. The black and gold combination is just too good to resist and sets this tequila apart from the rest.

The story of Don Roberto Extra Añejo is certainly an interesting one. The packaging and ornaments therein were meant to place this tequila on the same shelf as one of those great cognacs, keeping an aesthetic familiarity with the same brand's 1924 collection we deigned a few years ago, while still outstanding from it.

The ornaments were inspired by traditional Mexican saddlery, an art close to the heart of the Orendain family, who has lived for generations between lienzos charros and agave fields. The packaging was intended to be robust, almost intimidating, as if it were a treasure preserved for years coming out of its chest to allow us a sip into history.
