With A Name Like Black Magic Stout, Expect Boundaries To Be Pushed

Published

Miha Avsenik undertook the design for Pipeline Brewery’s Black Magic stout. Because the brand is so intensely aware of the craft behind every scenario, it only makes sense that this label is artfully composed. The stout’s label features strong yet straightforward font with a pop of salmon pink to add a spark of interest. When a product is named something as ominous as “Black Magic,” it seems fitting that the package design is oversimplified, making it all the more perplexing and boundary-pushing.

Pipeline Brewery is a non-commercial, hobby home brewery. We love to make good beer, and we are deeply aware of the meaning of graphic design going hand in hand in every craft driven project. For us, the word “craft” is deeply connected with art, crazy ideas, and innovation, but most of all, it is deeply connected with the creators’ personality, soul, and experience. No brew is the same, no brew is boring. Every one of them deserves to be something special. No matter how small you are, no matter how low your budget is, you can still push the boundaries a little further each and every time.
