Amstel Brings You The Premium Seltzer You Were Waiting For

While the world adjusted to a new normal in the last year, beer and wine brands assimilated to a new normal in the industry: the introduction of the seltzer. Amstel, the renowned beer brand, for example, recently launched their own line of hard seltzers. Staying true to their history and roots, they moved forward with intention. And thus, they contracted troubadour to design the face of the newest member of their collection.

Starting with the top quarter of each can, cutting the Amstel Seltzer logo cleanly in half, they used a variety of colors to differentiate each respective flavor. Using a silver color for the words ‘ultra seltzer’ denotes a sense of lightness, since it does not contrast with the white background, but more so, seems to blend. A minimalist depiction of the flavor’s ingredients is also included in silver amidst the description and nutrition facts, while the flavor itself is written in the same color as the stripe at the top. Maintaining simplicity and an edge reminiscent of the traditional Amstel branding, troubadour did well to assure each of the seltzers cohesively fit with the rest of the products, while setting themselves apart to appeal to the modern consumer looking for a lighter option.
