Skin Care Brand Cottonly Is Turning A Basic Annoyance Into A Daily Ritual

Tissues and makeup wipes are a constant subtle reminder that humans are not a perfect species. I mean, let's be honest, why do our noses even need to run? While we, unfortunately, can't fix the existential issues of the human race, we can thankfully fix packaging.

The Australian skincare brand, Cottonly, is taking on the industry by storm and helping to refine and sustainably upgrade our daily cleansing routine. The packaging consists of a thoughtfully neutral design with muted colors to pair with any shelf or countertop. These products have packaging to make a previously rudimentary process more elevated and feel more like self-care than a chore.

Cottonly is a new Australian skincare brand on a mission to take your daily cleansing regime to the next level, sustainably. After struggling for years with skin concerns, Sarah and Elaine, founders of Cottonly, decided to launch their own skincare line, starting with the first (and arguably most important) step in a skincare routine: cleansing. Embracing the natural qualities of cotton, they developed a range of compostable wipes, each woven with various patterns to address different skin concerns.

While the founders were well-versed in the benefits of a dry wipe, we needed to introduce the concept to a new audience. Through an elevated aesthetic, earthy colour palette, tactile details and shelfie-worthy packaging, we created a brand system that comes together to express the transformative effects of taking the rudimentary routine of cleansing your face and elevating it to an indulgent ritual.
