You Don’t Need A Sweet Tooth To Want A Taste of Blighty

Blighty Foods—originally Taste of Blighty—approached The Republic to give their dessert brand a refreshing, new identity. Easily distinguishable by their petite, single-serving packaging and adorable illustrations, the variety of desserts are a treat begging to be taken home or enjoyed on the go. Each flavor was assigned a respective color block pattern that seems to be reflective of the cup’s sweet layers within. The face of the brand is a little cartoon cartoon whose cute and quirky style, as well as smile, will draw in children and anyone with a sweet tooth alike.

Our intent was to create an identity that was accessible and appealing to both children and adults, across many demographics. Given that the desserts would be sold in smaller, local stores, and that the name Taste of Blighty might be a mouthful for some, we fashioned a simple and likable mascot as the face of the brand.
