Goose Island x Cadbury Collab Has Everyone Egg-Cited

Cadbury Creme Eggs are egg-shaped chocolates filled with white and yellow fondant. For many, it’s impossible to remember a spring without the candy, as Cadbury has offered the sweets since 1971. As part of the product’s “Golden Goobilee,” Cadbury has partnered with Goose Island to create a unique beer that promises to taste like the seasonal treat.

The eggs-tremely limited edition beer combines malted barley, oats, and lactose with cocoa nibs and vanilla for a rich and creamy brew that maintains drinkability. While some brewers throw in the actual ingredients to impart it on beer, there are no real creme eggs in the Goose Island Golden Goo-Beer-Lee beer.

The beer can's label draws inspiration from Cadbury eggs, especially the colorful foil that typically envelopes the candy, except in Canada. The yellow gets applied in a yolky way with a goose head emerging from one side. The bottom and shoulder of the cans are left raw. There’s no overt Cadbury branding on the can, probably since it's beer and for grown-ups, but the colorway and yolky yellow are certainly callbacks to Cadbury. Goose Island’s logo also gets placed on the label.

We can’t wait for people to try our very first beer and raise a glass to five delicious decades of the Cadbury Creme Egg!”
