The Many Colors Of Tándem Olive Oil

Superfluido worked with Tándem to bump the competing olive oil bottles out of the match. Going against the grain in all aspects, including color scheme, illustrations, bottle shape, and font choice, Superfluido worked to develop a refreshing and completely unique branding concept. The geometric floral drawings that serve as the face of each label pay homage to the natural elements involved in the olive oil’s production. Choosing to take an abstract approach, Tándem introduced an opaque bottle, whose shape was anything but conventional. Each bottle boasts a different pastel color that contrasts greatly with any other olive oil bottle on a shelf.

The design revolves around the natural surroundings of the olive groves. In an attempt to forge a connection between the product and its land and surroundings, the design highlights the colors of the blossoming fields of olive trees in spring. Two aspects of a healthy lifestyle are combined within the design: extra virgin olive oil and the natural environment in which it is produced.

The visual language chosen is an unconventional one in the olive oil industry. The packaging opts for nature in an abstract and conceptual way using visual means that convey a youthful and cheerful mood with a modern focus. The abstract shapes of the flowers on each bottle are a key feature of the brand and they dominate much of the packaging, blending with the symbol of the Tándem brand.

The color scheme that was created is used to differentiate between the varieties offered by the brand and corresponds with the three main flowers of the landscape.
