Cartografie, a London-based chocolatier, takes its name from cartography, the art of mapping. Like cartographers, the firm leads the chocolate lover through a journey of the senses while making nods to the elements that make cocoa special. The packaging uses premium materials and finishes, such as metal foil, embossing, and no-glue packaging artfully folded by hand. Cacao gets cultivated within 20 degrees of the equator, and the packaging employs a reusable band that nods to the geographic range where the crop grows.

The luxurious and beautiful packaging and branding come courtesy of Studio Minerva. The wordmark is opulent, elegant, and on-brand. The fanciful work gets condensed in the letter mark “C” for the brand, adding another option to the visual language of Cartografie. Additionally, the logotype gets a sturdy serif that the studio turns into near-flowing lines of melting, drizzled chocolate.
