We're Nuts About Cokowo's Retro Branding

The Spain-based design studio, Tatabi, has worked with the coconut brand, Cokowo to create packaging that we're nuts about.
There's an understated retro vibe oozing out from the color palette and font choices, and I love the laid-back sentiment; it's perfect for a brand that's all about bringing simplicity and ease to a high-quality product. I had no idea that coconut could be the main ingredient of brownies, soup, and matcha, but, let me tell you, I'm here for it.
Cokowo is a brand of premium coconut-derived products, of 100% natural origin. Inspired by the exotic landscapes of the Philippines, where colour and light are the protagonists.

?Cokowo proposes a trip from the Philippines to the most current gastronomy. Preserving the high quality of the raw material and its exotic flavour notes. It invites you to dive into a world of imagination and tasty coconut recipes.
All its raw material is used from this incredible fruit. Based on this idea, we wanted all the packaging elements to be reusable.
The plywood box invites you to give it a second life and in case you want to recycle, it does not have screws or nails so it can be easily separated into pieces. It has also been laser engraved to avoid using paints and to make recycling easier.
The bottles are made of recycled glass and protected with recycled cardboard shavings. The die of the labels is rectangular to avoid material waste and they are printed with a single ink.
The tissue paper that wraps some of the bottles becomes a hand-painted piece of art. All its mistakes, wrinkles, breaks, etc. They provide added value and give it naturalness.
To design Cokowo we have used a cheerful and colorful color palette in line with its Fili character. As well as elegant fonts with a retro air and rustic textures.
