AQAVE is a spirit sourced from maguey syrup, more commonly known as agave nectar. Used as a sweetener, but often distilled to make a variety of spirits, this sweet syrup is as satisfying as the branding designed in collaboration with TORO PINTO. Each bottle features a different, unique ombré tone of pink, teal, purple, and silver. The slogan emphasizes enjoying the “here and now”. Each element of the logo places importance on tradition and history. Each symbol that makes up the composition of the label as a whole has a celestial and supernatural feel, drawing its roots from Mexican surrealism and spirituality.
AQAVE is a Dutch spirits brand that sheds light on the origin of agave. The cultural impact of Mexicoâs self-sufficient communities in Oaxaca was one of the main aspects that inspired us to research the activities, processes, and traditions present in this region. With these elements in mind, we developed an identity that was both technical and emotional.
