Vella Women's Pleasure Serum Is Empowering Women's Sexuality Through Luxuriously Charged Packaging

Women's sexual health is often thought of as a "dirty secret," but Shion Studio is working with Vella, a new women's sexual wellness brand. The jar is minimalistic in design while maintaining an excitingly luxurious aesthetic. The "V" shape is the main visual on the container, creating a playful geometric design that's understated in the best possible way. Moreover, the color palette is feminine through the orange and magenta hues. While feminine, the colors feel more energetic than dainty, comprehensive for a brand that's all about empowering women.
Vella is a new brand in the women's sexual wellness space. With the launch of their first product, Women's Pleasure Serum, Vella has combined sensual intelligence and science to create a pre-play topical for arousal and orgasm.
Vella worked closely with Shion Studio to develop the packaging for their Women's Pleasure Serum in both multi-use jars and single-use sachets. The packaging was purposefully designed to look minimal and high-end, encouraging customers not to hide it away in their cabinets, but display it proudly on their nightstand. For years, sexual wellness has been hidden away as a dirty secret, and Vella intends to change that. By designing products that rival the beauty industry in taste and style, Vella hopes to help bring sexual wellness into the mainstream.
Visually, the packaging leans heavily on Vella’s iconic “V” establishing it as a main visual for the brand. This graphic symbol combined with bright, pleasurable colors help the Vella packaging to stand out among competitors and create a sense of joy for this pleasurable piece.
