While homemade dishes are often a feature of family gatherings around the holidays, some families have that one clutch relative that brings a bucket of Kentucky Fried delicious. This holiday KFC is making bringing their eleven herbed and spiced chicken to holiday potlucks easier with its new “Finger-Lickin' Chicken Mitten Bucket Hugger.”

The Finger-Lickin' Chicken Mitten Bucket Hugger—a mouthful of a name—is a knitted, holiday-themed, ugly sweater for KFC’s signature buckets and integrates a pair of mittens to keep hands warm while transporting fried chicken. Additionally, KFC is featuring a seasonal design of its packaging called “Winter Chickenland.”

The holiday design depicts a snowy outdoors and features large, decorated Christmas trees, topped with the Colonel’s bow-ties instead of angels or stars, some festive frolicking, and a snowman bearing a winter-inspired resemblance to KFC’s founder. Brand elements such as the red-and-white striping and chicken drumsticks are sprinkled throughout, keeping the holiday bucket as Christmasy as it is KFC.

KFC is also playing Colonel Claus this year, giving everyone that orders an eligible bucket meal through its app or online between November 9 and 13th in the US a free Finger-Lickin' Chicken Mitten Bucket Hugger, reminding everyone that they will not be available in-store.
