Country Cannabis Is Low THC Session Weed With Great Branding To Boot

For decades cannabis cultivators chased high THC strains, making bud more and more potent. Stronger weed was a competitive advantage, making it more profitable by volume, a significant consideration in an illicit product that carries legal risk. However, cannabis became too intense at some point, and the supercharged Sativa strains can cause some folks to have a harsh and uncomfortable high. Then there are those just looking to cop just enough of a buzz to feel good but, you know, not a calendar-clearing high.
Now that cannabis is legal in many markets, some people—like Eaze co-founder Jamie Feaster, Green Street co-founder Rama Mayo, and investors Gary Vaynerchuk and Justin Kan—are venturing into low THC strains. They're even starting brands like Country Cannabis, specializing in easy-to-consume cannabis for tokers just needing a light buzz.
Country’s first session strain is called Friendly Neighbor, and its genetics include the famous Jack Herer Sativa and high-CBD AC/DC for a flower that is equal parts THC and CBD and is chock full of aromatic terpenes. The packaging is subdued, dominated by white with a soothing blue and refined gold color. The branding, starting with the horseshoe logo, is ranch-inspired and labels on the packaging feature stars and rope outlines. The color palette and frosted glass on the resealable preroll packs keep the brand from getting too grimy because Country is like a pristine, white Stetson. The white and gold make the brand visually reminiscent of Marlboro Lights, but this is an entirely different flavor country.
Since tokers looking for a light high are also probably chiefing infrequently, the preroll jar keeps joints fresh with a built-in pump that vacuum seals them. Country says the container is exclusive and reusable, making one fewer piece of cannabis packaging trash.
You can find Country Cannabis on Eaze and other retailers in California.
