Not only have associations around tattoos moved in a more positive direction, but the packaging for tattoo-related projects has as well. For example, tattoo artist Mik Rahner realized a gap in the market when he wanted to offer his clients a sustainable and vegan tattoo care product. Because sustainability was so important in the process of the products, Rahner knew that the packaging had to be eco-friendly as well. Working with Sulapac, the vision came to life through biodegradable packaging printed with a beautiful botanical design.
From florals, mandalas, elegant fine line tattoos and vegan ink, tattoo culture is undergoing a strong shift away from the traditional imagery often associated with masculine subcultures, such as bikers or gangs.
