If you've ever taken a long slow walk through the ice cream section at your local grocery, first of all, you're not alone, and second of all, you might've been overwhelmed by designs that were anything but elegant. Rebu Studio has redefined luxury ice cream with its packaging design for Bacio di Latte. The pastel color palette represents the flavors within the carton, and the gold details add an extra element of refinement that, to be honest, we didn't realize ice cream indeed lacked until now.

The development of packaging for the Bacio di Latte ice cream to be marketed in supermarkets in Brazil began with the value of their classic Italian ice cream recipe. It’s entire visual language was supported by elements of Art Deco Italiano, such as carved metalwork, ornaments and other details of this artistic style.

The color’s palette makes reference to the flavors of ice cream: always in pastel tones. The choice for the Love typography family, by Foundry VJ-Type, carries all the expression of elegance and movement, whether due to thick contrasts or the harmony in their ligatures. We used the ligatures that the typography already has, but also created new ones, making interesting encounters between the letters. The gold on the edges of the lids expresses sophistication and the illustrations of the milk storage cans talk about the tradition and rescue of the classic.
