Crest Usually Protects Teeth But This Halloween It's Also Safeguarding Candy

For kids of a certain trick-or-treating age, Halloween is a magical day when, for not a lot of effort, children can haul in pillowcases full of sweet, sweet sugar. That candy loot is under threat as soon as the trick-or-treating is over, with rapacious siblings and parents just waiting for the right moment to pilfer top-tier goodies. 

Toothpaste brand Crest aims to help a few lucky kids this Halloween with a more secure way to keep tempted family members at bay.

Crest’s “Bring on the Candy” safe is basically a lidded cylinder with what appears to be a luggage combination lock, sort of like a trash can, but for candy. Painted in shades of minty blue, the candy safe is a smiling, azure jack-o-lantern. And because this is a branded promotion from Crest, kids will also get a free tube of toothpaste.

“We know Halloween is all about the candy. And Crest gives parents peace of mind knowing that when their kids choose sweets, Crest has them covered,” Carlos Quintero, P&G vice president, oral care North America, said in a press release. “But Halloween candy needs protection too! So we came up with the perfect solution for parents and kids to keep their teeth and candy protected this Halloween.”
