LASTO FOODS: The Silkiest Nut Butters In The World

Through a unique squeeze bottle, funky illustrated characters, and a soft color palette, Algoritmo Design artfully created a playful packaging system for LASTO's nut butter products. It's hard to break into the nut butter category because everyone's favorite brands are determined by their parent's favorite, especially when they're the ones making your peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Still, through LASTO's unique packaging, they're able to break through and creatively differentiate themselves from the rest of the market. This isn't your classic spread, showcased through the packaging design, and that's precisely the point.

Algoritmo’s design team was asked to create a brand strategy to articulate the unique personality of Lasto Foods, and a brand identity system that could work across print and online applications, including packaging, social media and illustrations for advertising.

The Challenge: To design a brand that’s fun, accesible and functional

The Solution: Personalized illustrations where characters are shown interacting with the main ingredients of the product doing some kind of healthy activity. For example practicing sports, surfing, doing yoga, gardening, climbing or doing any activities that promote happiness and well-being.

For digital media communication we proposed a 3D model of packaging intervened with the illustrated characters.
