Denomination has designed the packaging for Cowpunk’s Natural wine range, which takes the natural wine industry away from being associated with boutique brands and into the entire market. The packaging utilizes a cursive-inspired font that’s simple and legible but packed with personality. Because the bottle has such a long stem, playing off of it with a skinny label makes this design come across as highly unique. Sometimes it’s the minor details that make the most significant impacts.

Using icons inspired by cattle branding, with infographics that have short and sweet messaging, Denomination has created an accessible and homely brand that taps into what natural wine is all about – something made with minimal intervention that has immediate freshness.
Hand stamped labels signal the day, month and year that the grapes of the wine have been picked to demonstrate the small batch, hand-made nature of the wine. The name ‘Cowpunk’ is inspired by ‘Cowpunk Music’ – an unvarnished and edgy mixture of country and punk – influenced by the real, raw sound of country music before it became hugely commercialised. This analogy perfectly captures what natural wines are all about.
The bottle 100% resealable and reusable with the aim of eventually having refill stations at selected retailers.
